He did not like being here one bit. the smell of stale air filling his nostrils, and the grim look of the place was enough to make Lucius gag. Who could actually stay the night in such a d**ned place? If Lucius had had the choice, he would not have been in the Shrieking Shack at all. No, he would be in his own home, His Manor, sitting in an arm chair with the fire burning before him. Yes, if only his Dark Lord hadn't requested that he should go and meet the rat. The short, stumpy, shriveled Wormtail drove Lucius insane.
For one, he never could get to the point, always skipping around the question and trying to twist words. The d**n bastard was a nuisance. It made Lucius wonder why the hell Voldemort kept such a thing around.
Lucius scoffed and set his jaw in disapproval. He had to be in the dingy place. He had to meet Wormtail on his masters request. And by Merlin, he was going to do it. He would not put his family before the wrath of Voldemort's wand. No, it would be such an ugly sight.
Walking up the battered stairs, Lucius kept a firm grip on his cane, in case there was anyone already inside, waiting to intercept them. Up the winding staircase he went until he finally came to a door. Its knob was missing and there were numerous holes in it. Werewolves always did a substantial number to things. Without giving the door a second glance, Lucius burst into the room and then kicked the door shut. He heard the scuffling feet behind him, and assumed it was Wormtail. Besides, who else could it have been?
"Well, well Wormtail, I think you have something that you are to give me." Lucius spoke with his back still turned from the shriveled man. However, if he had not heard something like a 'sniffle', Lucius would have remain that way until the fool placed the item into his gloved hands.
Turning around, Lucius was almost shocked to see someone else besides Wormtail. In fact, Wormtail wasn't even here at all.
Lucius narrowed his eyes and took a step forward. "What do we have here?"

Post by Rodolphus Lestrange on Apr 23, 2008 20:07:05 GMT -5
It seemed like he had been waiting for hours. At the most, Rodolphus had been in the shack for two hours, apparating to the spot the moment his mark had burned. He felt like he had been lingering for too long here in this rotting place. He had seen several pieces of the rafters fall down on to the soft wooden floor and found his dislike growing with each passing moment.
Seating himself at the back of the room on an old broken chair, Rodolphus ran a hand up through his wiry hair and began his wait. He was good at waiting, for the most part. Well, actually, it depended on what he was waiting for. If the order came from the Dark Lord though, Rodolphus's patience was infinite.
Rodolphus actually managed some sleep during his wait. He hadn't slept the night before, but even though he was deprived of it, he wasn't too tired. The tiredness took about three days to really kick in and start to wear on him. So the few cat naps he caught during his wait only served to make him more alert. It was strange the way his insomnia affected him.
The more rested he was, the more clear headed and rational he was, though when deprived of his sleep for several days, Rodolphus was more impulsive and arguably, even more deadly. A blessing and a curse, he supposed. Clad in his usual, simple but impecably tailored clothing, Rodolphus had chosen to wear his black cloak instead of his jacket. Slick and new, the article of clothing seemed to be made of the shadows that drenched the shack.
His dark eyes sparked hearing a foot on the stairs. They creaked and groaned in an almost lovely way. Really, it was the only thing that Rodolphus didn't find horrible about the shack. The strange and weird sounds the place made. Each gust that flittered through the cracks in made a different sound, a different tone that played like music in Rodolphus's ears.
In his dark and twisty mind, Rodolphus had even started to chart out the notes of the noises he heard for a possible composition when he returned home. The sound on the stair was a new one and while it intruded into his thoughts, Rodolphus found them to be just as intriguing.
"Well, well Wormtail, I think you have something that you are to give me."
Seeing the form that walked in, Rodolphus had to admit he didn't expect him. Malfoy, even playing the part of Minister and playing it well, never seemed unkempt in the slightest. Raising his eyebrows at Malfoy's back addressing Wormtail, Rodolphus rested his chin on his fingertips, trying to piece out the odd puzzle he was in.
"What do we have here?"
With a tone that sounded as though Lucius had captured a rat, Rodolphus drew himself up from his chair and stepped away from the shadows. Grinning as he looked over the blond haired man, Rodolphus folded his arms across his chest.
"Was hopin' you would be able to tell me, Lucius," Rodolphus said with a slight nod of his head in deference to the Minister of Magic. His slightly crazed grin, though, was insuppressible. "Thought the Minster of Magic would be able to shed a little light on why we where called out to this speck of earth, this time of night..."

Was hopin' you would be able to tell me, Lucius
Now that voice sounded familiar. Keeping his grey eyes on the dark corner, Lucius watched as Rodolphus Lestrange stepped out into the dim light...if you could call it that.
Thought the Minster of Magic would be able to shed a little light on why we where called out to this speck of earth, this time of night...
Lucius tapped his cane against the floor of the old shack and let his hard expression fall a bit. to be truthful, Lucius only knew that he had been summoned to the dingy place to receive an item. an item that the Dark Lord wanted in his own possession. What it was, Lucius was hoping to find out when he found Wormtail.
" So, the Dark Lord summoned you as well." Lucius spoke . "It's also seems that you are not the only one who is in the dark about what the two of us were sent here for however...I did not know that our lord had had the intention of sending you here as well."
Above the blond man, the ceiling of the shrieking shack was on the verge of caving in. dust fell from the cracks in the wood falling on Lucius's shoulder. Hearing the faint noise, Lucius looked to both his left and right. Sure enough, the particles had been attracted to his black attire. Removing a hand from his cane, Lucius shoved the dust off himself. He looked around the place and sneered.
" Foul place isn't it?" He questioned before squaring his shoulders once more.
"As far as I know, the Dark Lord intended on Wormtail passing a a rather important item of interest on to me to hand over. I had the impression that the scum bag would be here."
If there was one thing Lucius did not like, it was someone not showing up. No matter who it was, and especially when it involved his masters demands, Lucius did not like to waste his time. He would rather be sleeping right now. In fact, Lucius would rather be doing just about anything right now that be in this broken down place. It would more like a muggle cardboard box that and sort of shack. How anyone could call this home, Lucius would never understand. All the elements could get in from in between the broken boards as well as small , disease ridden animals. The thought of such a thing almost made the man shiver. Being here out a permanent expression of disgust on his face.
"What did he call you here for Lestrange?"

Post by Ofelia Cruz on Apr 25, 2008 14:58:37 GMT -5
Ofelia had been asleep when she felt the familiar burning sensation up her arm; the Dark Lord himself had called her. Dressing quickly she had appeared at his side within minutes, it didn’t bode well to keep him waiting. His instructions where clear if not a little unorthodox and she quickly left hoping to complete the task as promptly as she could. Her warm bed was calling to her and as she walked slowly up the path to the Shrieking shack her cloak pulled tightly around her neck to protect herself from the cold wind, she pondered as to what package Wormtail had…to what it contained.
She pushed the front door open and entered the dingy shack, the furniture was ripped and broken and the walls covered with mould from the damp. She expected the shack contained many leaks to which rainwater drained in and she wrinkled her nose to the smell of stagnant water.
She paused at the bottom of the stairs as she heard voices drift down to her and she slowly climbed them careful to not let them creak….
"What did he call you here for Lestrange?"
Ofelia strained her ears and caught the words that could only be from one mans mouth; his precision in his wording and slow drawl could only be from Lucius Malfoy. She frowned to herself wondering why The Dark Lord would call three Death Eaters for a simple task.
She ventured further up the stairs as quiet as a cat trying to catch the rest of the conversation, however she froze as she heard a scuffling from the bottom of the stars. A frown flickered across her face and she quickly pulled out her wand as she descended down the stairs.
Peering around she could not pin point what might have caused the noise, maybe it had been a stray cat looking for some shelter. At that point she heard a low whisper and she was thrown off her feet and against the back wall with a loud thud that shook the unstable shack. The pain shot up her back and she moaned as her head throbbed from the impact. She looked up to see Wormtail venture out of the shadows wand held infront of him “You little Bastard” she growled as she stood and pulled out her wand ready to defend herself. She knew however the noise was bound to have alerted the two in the room above and it wouldn’t be long before they appeared.
“How dare you attack me?” she spat as she looked at the excuse of a wizard that stood before her, his hair dishevelled and greasy, he was unshaven and to Ofelia smelled like he hadn’t had a bath in weeks, she was finding it difficult to distinguish his smell with that of the shacks.

"I did not know that our lord had had the intention of sending you here as well."
"Our Master's secrecy tonight is 'ardly precedented." Rodolphus said, nodding in agreement. Rodolphus had always been fond of Lucius. His effortless way of speaking and intimidating people was enough to make Rodolphus respect the man. Respect him and find him tolerable company which was just as well as he was married to Bella's sister.
" Foul place isn't it?"
"Yes, it's a far cry from your manor house, inin't Malfoy?" Rodolphus asked with a sly grin as he moved through the room.
"What did he call you here for Lestrange?"
When his master called, Rodolphus didn't need a reason, all he needed to do was show up. What needed to be done would make itself known, it wasn't Rodolphus's place to need a reason for what needed to be done or where he went. Though, tonight was the exception to the rule and Rodolphus knew why he had been called here. Turns out it was for the same reason Lucius had been called.
While Wormtail accompanied the Dark Lord often, Rodolphus didn't like the squirmy man. He didn't trust him even in the tiniest sense. Rodolphus was about to answer when the noise erupted from the bottom of the stairs. The loud thud and Rodolphus had already thrown the door open, charging for the rotten banister at the top of the stairs. His skin prickled when he heard the moan and his eyes looked down toward the noise quickly.
The sound of pain was enough to make his eyes light up and already, Rodolphus felt years younger. Seeing the scene at the bottom made him shake his head and smile a cruel grin.
“How dare you attack me?”
While his arm had been pointed at the pair, Rodolphus had lowered his wand and rested it on the banister. He laughed and shook his head. "Ah, Lucius, look at the children play," Rodolphus drawled amusedly, looking over to his peer. "Want me to show you two a few new games?" Rodolphus asked, taking a few steps down the stairs, his eyes glinting maliciously. "Or can we get on with the reason why we've been called here?" Rodolphus added, looking from Cruz over to Wormtail, giving the sniveling man a threatening glare.

Lucius's attention was drawn away from Rodolphus when a feminine shout came from below. His blonde eyebrow quirked up with curiosity and he followed Rodolphus over to the banister. Peering down Lucius saw two figures. One stood up straight and the other was hunched over.
Wormtail......
Lucius sneered and tapped his cane on the unstable floor boards. It looked as though Ofelia Cruz was the other person standing down there. What was she doing?
"Ah, Lucius, look at the children play,"
A smirk appeared on the mans face when Rodolphus spoke. Yes, the scene below was almost amusing to be honest.
" I would delight in assisting you Rodolphus." Lucius said in a humorous tone. "However, children should not be out after curfew."
Straightening himself, Lucius backed away from the banister and walked toward the stairs. Stepping onto them, a sharp creak sounded. It made him wince but he continued on his descent. Once he reached the level Ofelia and the rat were on, Lucius put a hand on Ofelia's shoulder and gently moved her aside so he could get a better look at the foul man.
"What do we have here?" Lucius almost whispered looking between Ofelia and Wormtail.

"Ah, Lucius, look at the children play,"
Ofelia had barely drawn her wand when Rodolphus Lestrange appeared at the bottom of the stairs; she hid the frown that threatened to cross her face and merely stood her ground. Rodolphus was shortly followed by Lucius Malfoy, both where high-class purebloods and Ofelia couldn’t help but wonder why she had been called to assist them. Its not like the two didn’t make a strong duo…so why was she needed.
She hated how she was never accepted by the other death eaters, most who weren’t in the Dark Lords inner circle where fine with her…however those that where seemed to treat her without much respect and she wouldn’t deny it didn’t annoy her.
"Or can we get on with the reason why we've been called here?"
Ophelia was about to reply but stopped when Lucius stepped forward, best not to speak unless it was important she didn’t want to annoy either of them. She let Lucius move her aside so that he could survey Wormtail, her back still throbbed and she made a mental note to take some tablets that would cease the pain so she’d be fine the next day.
"What do we have here?"
Ofelia glanced at Rodolphus before replying, “I was summoned here by the Dark Lord. I was however attack by him” she said indicating to Wormtail. She didn’t say anymore, deciding being straight to the point would go down well with the two, and anyway there wasn’t much room for small talk in a situation like this.
Ofelia glared at Wormtail who was looking nervously between the three, it seemed he hadn’t anticipated three death eaters being sent to retrieve the package. Ofelia couldn’t help but suspect he had wanted to keep the package for himself and now was regretting his choice.

Focusing his attention back on Ofelia, Lucius drew one of his fingers up to her lips and breathed 'shh'. Pulling back from her, Lucius advanced on Wormtail , looking down at him from his nose. His cane made a clicking noise every time it made contact with the old foundation of the shack. As much as it annoyed him, it also was a constant reminder of the little powerful object that was concealed in side of it. Coming up on the unintelligent man, Lucius watched as he sank lower to the ground and compressed himself together.
"You really ought to learn the difference between a favor and an order. It's one thing to have a choice between doing something than having a command by his master."
"Please, I was only protecting myself, I-I-I swear-"
Lucius hit the man over the head to shut him up. Protecting himself? Form what, Ofelia? Obviously the item that the Dark Lord wanted appealed to the rat as well. Lucius chuckled.
"You really expect me to believe such lies Wormtail?"
"You Do-"
"Be quiet! You do not have permission to speak!" Lucius seethed, rolling his eyes when the man gave a squeal of fear.
"Ofelia darling, what was it that Wormtail did you exactly?"
((OOC: sorry its short))
