With the night as dark as it was, a person couldn't help but hope that even the most evil of creatures were at rest. Content to let just one night pass without something yelling out in pleading terror, that person would be hoping in vain. The stories of what happened in Knockturn Alley only grew more and more frightening. And tonight, the darkness hung heavily over it. Deep within the alleys, that terror was being lived out.
"Get in there!" A tall man growled, kicking a very beaten looking man into a small shop. The beaten man crashed through the locked door and the tall one stepped in through the broken door dragging a woman by the arm. Tossing her to the floor next to the man, she went quickly to him, cradling the bedraggled form and letting a few stubborn sobs escape from her.
"Ah, inin't that sweet?" The tall man mused in a growl, a smile glinting in the faint light of the store. "Best hold 'im close while you can, love. He'll be cold before much longer. Kind of like you," he said with a slight tilt of his head, as though he was pondering that thought with a great deal of relish. The nights that Lestrange couldn't sleep were often worse for the people he found than they were for him. He hadn't slept in nearly four days and it was clear in the way he more growled than spoke. Bella had taken it on herself to make her presence very absent whenever he entered a room she might have been in. So being left to his own devices, Lestrange had opted to indulge in one of his most favored of hobbies.
With a quick stride over to the pair, he kicked the man in the chin. Falling backward, when his frame hit the floor a cloud of dust shot up around him. The woman cried out, but Lestrange had already turned his attention to her. A flash of his wand, Crucio' and the woman shook violently, biting her lip so she wouldn't yell out. The hazy pain washing from the man, he scrambled to his knees and starting to crawl over to her.
"Tch, love, your turn will come swiftly enough," Lestrange said, his dark eyes glancing over at the man. Moving his wand briefly toward the man, he froze him there so all he could do was watch the girl get tortured. Lestrange looked back from the man to the woman and couldn't stop a chuckle. With a quick wave of his wand the girl heaved and rolled to one side and the man was able to move again. He nearly fell onto his face as he raced to the girl and held her close to him. "You muggles are really touching, playing at emotion like you do," Lestrange with a raised eyebrow, his tone insultingly mocking. The man looked up at Lestrange, managing to stand up. Holding his middle with one hand, he looked around and grabbed a heavy looking object off one of the table.
'Burn in hell, you monster," he said, hefting the object and flinging it at Lestrange. Turning back to face the voice, Lestrange exploded the object with a wave of his wand. "Saying you've had enough playing, love?" Lestrange asked, his blank face being replaced with a smile of the worst sort. "Alright, then, we'll finish it," Lestrange said with a little nod as though he were conceding a wish. Grabbing the man around the shirt, Lestrange flung him up and onto a table filled with crystal balls and glass vials. The sicking crunch and crash was pierced by the man's own whine. Without a pause, Lestrange crossed the room and yanked the girl up by her hair. Bending down to a knee, he looked from her to the man writhing on the table. "Take a good last look at him, love," Lestrange said in a low gravelly whisper. His hand ran along the base of her neck at though he were pondering something. With a sharp breath, he stepped back and pointed his wand at her. "You may want to be sitting up for this," Lestrange said, looking back to the man, sweeping his wand from the girl to the man and making him sit up.
"Avada Kedavra!"
The curse came easily and the green flash from the spell lit up the small room. The delight on Lestrange's face briefly illuminated before the room went dark again. The man fell back onto the table, a most pained and despairing cry exuding from his throat. "Now, before we continue," Lestrange said, slipping his wand into the case hanging from his belt. Bending down, he picked up at chunk of marble from the object her had exploded earlier. Grabbing the man's shirt front again, Lestrange sat him back up and struck him across the face with it. Blood spattered onto his white shirt sleeve before he could let go of the man.
"Had to return the favor, love," Lestrange mused his circled eyes looking down at him. Grabbing him around by the ankle, Lestrange pulled him off the table and let the form crash into the ground. He shook his bloodied hand, trying to get a bit of the blood off. Running a hand up through his wild hair, Lestrange took a few steps away from his prey, thinking his choices over. A loud crash in the alley made him turn quickly around. Who in the bloody hell was that?, Lestrange thought to himself, his tired eyes going bloodshot as he crossed the floor of the store. As he brushed past the man, his hand swept up a hard blow to the man's face.
Peering out the doorway with a look of murder on his face, Lestrange didn't see anyone. He set a foot out the door when a brown cat scampered through the alley way. Lestrange sneered, with a odd laugh and shake of his head as he headed back into the store. "Now, to continue with our game," Lestrange said, turning to the man, the sneer becoming his smile again. Drawing his wand from its case, Lestrange just had it leveled on the man when a sound from behind him made his ear twitch. There was someone else here and it wasn't that bloody cat.

Bellatrix Lestrange was taking a short and quiet walk down knockturn alley, she was at peace, her husband not anywhere to be seen and she herself was left to do as she pleased. Although that was the usual way of life for her. Bellatrix was a woman that glorified her solitude at every opportunity. There was never a chance where she would not leap at the chance to be on her own away from people, ok maybe there was one chance that she would leap at and that was to be with her Master. The love of her life the man who she served with loyalty, she had never once made a blunder in her service she was careful not to and anyway only the best was appropriate for the likes of Voldemort. It was the best or life in most cases.
She was glad in dark robes and a hood that lingered between falling off and staying put. Bella’s shoes made an odd click as she walked at every now and then a small green light would silently fall from her wand killing off a rat or some other pointless being. London had a bad rat infestation and killing them all off did help even if it was well unessicarry. Bella had always marvelled in the beauty that was death. She enjoyed causing others pain and often enough her reason was simple, when another person was suffering she was happy, very happy. A simple yet well cared for wand was held in a long fingered hand and dark eyes peered out into the darkness that had consumed what was earlier known as “daytime.”
Bellatrix heard a smash and she quickened her pace. Not through fear but through curiosity, no Bellatrix Lestrange would never show fear because fear was a weakness and weakness was not tolerated in any forms. There was a loud crack and Bella had apparated closer to the place of the sound creation. She saw the broken shop door and stood a small distance away just watching just incase there was a cause for her to enter the place.
Knockturn alley by rights was a terrible place to be at night. Dark wizards and witches you know death eaters and the like made the place popular to their kind. With shops selling dark objects and food that could kill you Knockturn alley was by all means a disgustingly popular hang out of the more evil members of society. Bellatrix would sometimes venture down the alley at night just to see if some stupid muggle had ventured down and if they had then they would soon be regretting the fact that they were there. It was a crime that any muggles could even walk the earth let alone the fact that they sometimes produced children with magical abilities, yes it was a crime a scandal and possibly a form of theft.
Bellatrix heard whoever it was inside the shop make more crashes and bangs, she then heard the persons voice and smirked slightly. Oh she recognised that voice anywhere. After all she had lived with it for god knows anywhere. Bellatrix let out a small-demented laugh at the words being spoken. d**n her husband for getting to the muggles first.
She quickly stepped inside the shop and looked at the mess. Bellatrix tutted slightly and looked at her husband with a highly hurt and disappointed face ”Roldolphus I would of thought you would of saved some for me…”

Turning back to look at the sudden voice from behind him, Rodolphus's first instinct was to aim his wand that the offender that had dared to intrude on his games. Though the moment that voice hit his ear and his eyes saw the form, his arm dropped sharply down to his side. Of all the people he had thought would have walked through that door, tonight, Bellatrix hadn't been one of them. Though he couldn't have wanted anyone else to. With half a grin, Rodolphus stepped off to one side, revealing the shaking form of the man still trying to pick himself up from the floor.
"You know me better than that, Bella," he said, his grin only growing more. "You've always had impeccable timing, love," Rodolphus adding, securing his wand back into his case. He gave her a knowing smile and part of him wanted to walk over to her. But, instead, with an easy turn, he walked back over to the man, propping him up to his knees. He groaned and winced, floating in between consciousness and not. If there was any feeling for the man in Rodolphus's black heart, he might have understood why the man was so keen on passing out, what with his wife lying dead on the floor not far from him.
"Look well on her," Rodolphus said, just behind the man's ear. "You'll not be seeing anything more beautiful again," he whispered. The man, summoning up some strength of will, spat back down at Rodolphus. He missed, but the intent was more than clear. Rodolphus laughed and kicked the man in the small of the back as he stood back up and crossed over to his wife.
"Muggle's all yours, love," Rodolphus said with another grin as he folded his arms across his chest, standing next to her. His weary eyes passed from Bella over to the man. He was trying his best to look defiant, unafraid, but Rodolphus knew better. You don't spend overly twenty years killing without being able recognize fear. To smell it. This man in front of them was reeking of it and it only made Rodolphus smile all the more.

"You know me better than that, Bella," Bellatrix ignored the first comment and watched the muggle with interest. If only she’d got there earlier then maybe she’d of had a better chance of dealing with the thing. "You've always had impeccable timing, love," She ignored her husbands words again still watching the muggle with and odd tilt of the head she finally spoke. ”I don’t think Mr Borgin and Mr Burke shall be taking too kindly to the mess, why do you have to make such a mess of the place.” It was simple teasing. Bellatrix was not being serious even if Borgin and Burke wouldn’t be too happy with the mess that Roldolphus had made. However they wouldn’t complain, the Lestrange’s were almost as feared as the Dark Lord himself.
Bellatrix wrinkled her nose at the muggle, he was close to death and kept falling between consciousness and unconciousness. She lowered her hood and let it fall gently, Bellatrix was still watching him with interest and watched as he spat at Roldolphus. Bella frowned at that point what right did a filthy muggle has to spit and look down on a pure-blooded being. ”You’d think those muggles would know when they are inferior you’d think they’d know when to give up.” Bellatrix shook her head in a disappointed manner and held her wand a little higher in one eloquent hand.
Her husband walked over to her and Bellatrix smiled, she smiled that smile that showed how insane she could be and was. "Muggle's all yours, love," Bellatrix nodded before walking up to the muggle and kneeling down infront of him. She smirked slightly, ”Relish what life you have pretty.” she then put her wand against his head, she dug it in as best she could and she could feel him wincing at the pressure she was making. ”If this hurts it’s nothing compared to what your gunna feel dear.” The words, which were intended to cause pain, escaped her lips with triumphant impact. ”Crucio.” was a good friend of Bellatrix, she relied on it.
Bellatrix kept her wand stuck to the side of the muggle’s head, she did not relese the pressure as she was enjoying prolonging the pain she was causing. The man would go insane long before he was dead, Bellatrix would make sure of that. He had finally broken and was now letting out long howls showing how in pain he was. When Bella stopped she was laughing, well not laughing but cackling. ”You think that’s anything luvvy?” She stood up and walked back over to Roldolphus.
”We should let im’ rest a few seconds, wouldn’t want to rush the fun would we?” They were cruel beings this couple were notorious sadist’s, causing pain at every opportunity offered.

"Why do you have to make such a mess of the place.”
Rodolphus could only smile wickedly as he took a look around the place. He did have a tendency to make things messy than they needed to be. He found he couldn't help it though, messes were rarely the things on his mind when there were muggles in the room. "They've got shop boys," Rodolphus said, turning his eyes back to Bella still with a grin on his lips. He knew her too well to take the comment seriously. But it was those kind of mild rebukes that drew him in.
”You’d think those muggles would know when they are inferior you’d think they’d know when to give up.”
"Ah, quite true, my love, but it's those pesky ones that make for the best rounds of torturings," Rodolphus said as he walked over. Then he paused, a look passing over his face like he had forgotten something. Turning back to the man, Rodolphus walked back over, bending to his knee again. Drawing his wand out, he pressed it hard under the man's chin. "They're so stubborn to break and die, my favorite kind," he said, getting right into the man's face before drawing his wand back and walking to where Bella stood.
Walking over, he caught that smile. That smile that made his heart skip beats when he saw it on Bella's face. He couldn't help a smile as well. Things seemed right in the world when Bella wore that look. Rodolphus chuckled to himself, turning to look back at the man, knowing full well, that even with having to watch the death of his wife, with Bella now here, things were only going to get worse for him.Sitting himself on the table, he watched as she moved across the floor to the man. Her shoes clicked in the oddest way but Rodolphus was soon quickly distracted from the noise of her shoes. His demented smile crossed his face seeing Bella hold the man hostage with her wand. He even laughed when she teased the man about thinking that was painful.
Rodolphus couldn't stifle his distinctive laugh as the man finally broke and howled in pain. His eyes were glinting with each passing scream and he finally felt awake again. Moving up from the table, he took a few steps closer, indulging in every moment. The man dropped to the floor and twitched terribly when Bella moved away from him.
”We should let im’ rest a few seconds, wouldn’t want to rush the fun would we?”
Taking in a breath with a look of concern on his face, he looked over to Bella. "Oh, no, no, love, wouldn't want to rush it at all," Rodolphus said looking slyly from her to the man, twitching and panting on the floor. He grinned again with a laugh, casting a quick look to Bella, he moved from his spot and went over to the man. Picking him up by the back of his hair, Rodolphus stuck the tip of his wand under the man's chin again. "Still kickin', there, muggle?" Rodolphus growled into his ear. "Crucio," he said through gritted teeth, putting a great deal of force behind his word. The man howled, his back arching back and up nearly to the point of breaking.
Rodolphus kept the man pinned by his hair and kept his wand pressing hard under the chin. Rodolphus grinned monstrously as he kept the man there, the howling shrieking thing that he was. With a harsh move, Rodolphus pulled his wand away from the man. There were small beads of sweat on his brow as he walked back to where Bella was. He panted a bit, but the smile on his face couldn't be broader. "Stubborn ones are the best," he mused, looking back at the man.

Bellatrix allowed her eyes to flicker to Roldolphus she listened to him before smirking. "Ah, quite true, my love, but it's those pesky ones that make for the best rounds of torturing," She nodded. ”Oh no one will deny that.” Bella was rather enjoying herself, she liked drawing things out like a boy with a daddy longleg’s. The only difference being Bella would a good few minutes before removing another leg. It’s always best to draw out pain.
“They're so stubborn to break and die, my favorite kind," Bellatrix nodded again. ”I prefer’s to help em along a bit. Bless em they always need a little encouraging before they decide to die. They can’t see that what we does is good for the world they don’t see that they shouldn’t be here they don’t see how they forced our kind into hiding when we should be ruling.” Bella’s chest rose as she spoke with a passion. She hated muggles and well when talking about them she always got a little carried away.
Bellatrix caught Roldolphus’ laugh and laughed along with him. It was times like these that she forgot what a burden he was. Bella very rarely showed her husband any outward emotion, after all the marriage had been arranged and Bella was a free spirit she didn’t like being locked up and caged like some poor bird. Bella smiled at her husband and then flashed a look to the muggle whom was writhing upon the dusty floor. ”My, my I do wonder if I shall sleep tonight I mean with this little beauty here how am I going to rest knowing that he ain’t dead yet.” Bella shook her head and tutted again.
Bella let her hand wonder around on a table beside and she found glass shards, which would be so useful at a time like this. Bellatrix watched Roldolphus and laughed as he caused more pain to the poor ole’ muggle on the floor. The pain was possibly intensified as he could not move freely and was locked in the same position. ”So weak int’ you.” Bellatrix wrinkled her nose in a disgusted manner, oh how she hated weakness.
"Stubborn ones on the best," Bellatrix gave a curt nod. Her eyes reverted to the glass shards. She flicked her wand with swift movements. The shards hovered and Bella lowered them to just above the muggle who couldn’t move from where he was. It was far too painful for him. Bellatrix made sure the glass pieces were not in hovering above area’s which would kill the muggle. She didn’t want that, it would be no fun. When was sure they were all in the correct places she moved her wand down in a heavy movement.
The shards impaled the muggle in five places, one thing was for sure he wouldn’t be seeing anything for a long time not now his eyes were bleeding from the intruding glass. The third piece of glass was rested underneath where the muggles heart would be. The fourth just above where one of the main vein’s for survival was on his neck. The final piece of glass dug impaled the mans belly button.
Bellatrix walked over to the man crouched beside him. ”Good thing your hearings still working dear because I can tell you what. You ought to listen good to me.” She held the man by the neck before speaking to him slowly. ”I said before you should cherish what life you have but I think I might take that back, you have a long life yet because I’m not finished yet.” The muggle in question was now whimpering, how could these two beasts do this to him? They certainly weren’t human cause no human could be that cruel.

"They can’t see that what we does is good for the world they don’t see that they shouldn’t be here they don’t see how they forced our kind into hiding when we should be ruling.”
Rodolphus's gaze was drawn back from the muggle to Bella and he drew in every word she spoke. They had their arguments from time to time, they were both too hot headed to not, but there wasn't one thing he would disagree with here. He smiled greatly with the pride that seemed to drip off Bella's words and arranged marriage or not, there wasn't a person he loved more.
"Truer words were never spoken, love. Pity they seem to fall on deaf ears," he said before rounding back on the muggle. His toy. He moved away from the man as Bella rose and he watched the floating glass shards ardently. They looked luminescent in the dim light of the shop. Following along behind Bella, he circled around the man much like a wolf did his prey before attacking it. His deep growling laugh mixed in with the man's scream as the glass sunk into him with the swift move of his wife's hand.
"you have a long life yet because I’m not finished yet.”
Rodolphus looked from the man over to Bella as she held his bloodied throat. A smile that could be called serene passed over his face. "Poor blighter, you are," Rodolphus said as he moved slowly over to the other side of the man, taking a knee next to him. The man squirmed painfully, unable to see, but knowing there was someone new next to his form. "Death is so close for you, inin't it, love?" Rodolphus said, running his pale finger under the man's chin and then down his neck.
"Less than a breath away and you just can't get there, can you?" Rodolphus continued to amusedly growl as he let his hand trace down the front of the man's shirt. His fingers traced over the shard of glass and with a quick twist of his hand, he wrenched the glass in the man's stomach.
"We're very good at what we do, muggle. When we have you, you're not goin' anywhere till we're ready," Rodolphus added giving the shard another sharp twist. The man yelled but was garbled from the shard in his throat. Rodolphus laughed easily, wiping his hand on the man's shirt. The man whimpered and Rodolphus smirked easily. "Poor thing," he teased, looking over to Bella before laughing again. "I think the little wretch is in pain," he added, the bloodshot eyes carrying a wicked glint in them.
Looking down he noticed the man's next to his boot. Without a moment's thought, he moved his boot and slowly set his weight down on it, on top of the man's hand. The cracking bones made the man howl and Rodolphus shifted his foot slowly, crunching nearly every bone in his hand. "Shh, love, it's not like you'll be needin' it anymore," Rodolphus said looking back to the man, still not removing his boot.
The man swallowed hard and gasped at some words. Rodolphus felt his brow furrow and looked over at Bella for a moment. Leaning in closer, Rodolphus heard the man try to repeat his words.
"...he will fall...your precious dark lord...your Voldemort. He'll fall and you...you two will..pay."
Rolophus snarled angrily, grabbing the man up by his shift and hurling him into the wall. The man groaned and started to slump down the wall. "Oh no you don't." Rodolphus growled baring his white teeth at the man. Pressing his wand into the man's head he uttered "Crucio!" He kept him pinned to the wall, letting his writhe in trying to get out of his iron grip. With a sneer, Rodolphus dropped the man to the floor and kicked him in the ribs. The man doubled up panting and clutching at his deformed hand.

"Truer words were never spoken, love. Pity they seem to fall on deaf ears," Bellatrix smirked before pointing out a small fact. ”Well this one ought to be able to hear quite well seeing as he is blind not deaf,” Bellatrix let out a small laugh at her own interesting humour. It was sickening to hear the banter going on between the deranged couple. You could say the parents had done well in choosing these to be life partners.
"Death is so close for you, inin't it, love?" Bellatrix frowned. ”Death isn’t close for him he’s got a long life.” Her eyes studied the man on the floor, what good was he for? No good at all really after all he the man was useful for was to be a toy, a special little toy.
Bella ben’t down for a minute and she dipped her fingers in the blood from the man’s neck, she smeared it over his mouth. She then kneeled down and pecked the man on the cheek. ”That blood’s your blood and all the while you’re here that’s all your ever gunna taste. Remember that mark I left because it’s the last mark that’s ever gunna be left on your skin my pet.” Bellatrix then threw herself away from the man, her face contorted into a sick grimace.
"Less than a breath away and you just can't get there, can you?" Bellatrix, looked at her husband and stood by him, she watched his hand find the glass and yank at it. She grabbed Roldolphus arm and pulled him up from his bent position. When he was standing upright she lent on him slightly. "We're very good at what we do, muggle. When we have you, you're not goin' anywhere till we're ready," Bellatrix tilted her head to the side. ”Think muggle, your helping us your helping us rid the world of filth.” She gave a jubilant laugh.
Roldolphus and Bellatrix were disgusting. To think that two human beings with any type of heart could do such a thing to another human being was well placing doubt on the fact that they were human. Bella noticed how the muggle kept trying to talk. She waved her wand lazilly and the shard of glass in the mans throat soared out allowing blood to run freely from his neck. ”I think I should of left that in, would of save all the mess on the floor.” Bella looked at the puddle forming and laughed. They were twisted beings.
She then heard the crunch from the muggles hand as Roldolphus crushed it with his boot. Bella walked to the other side on the man and raised her own foot threateningly above the other hand. Unlike Roldolphus whom had done the deed with subtle movements Bellatrix stomped on the mans other hand with repeated stomps allowing a pause between each step for maximum effect.
"...he will fall...your precious dark lord...your Voldemort. He'll fall and you...you two will..pay." Bellatrix heard the same words as Roldolphus and she watched. Her eyes widening as Roldolphus angrilly picked up the man and smashed him against the wall. Bellatrix heard “crucio” in a growl from her husband and then watched as the man was kicked on the ground.
Bellatrix walked up to Roldolphus and stood behind him, she placed a hand on his shoulder before whispering, ”Kill im’ we don’t want im’ anymore besides he’s gunna die anyway.” She took a short breathe before talking again. ”He deserves to die I think.” Bellatrix then crouched down by the muggle to utter the last fully formed sentence he would hear, ”Look’s like your time has come, remember us wont you.” She nodded at Roldolphus before walking towards the exit of the shop. ”Go on Roldolphus.”

”Well this one ought to be able to hear quite well seeing as he is blind not deaf,”
Rodolphus looked wryly over to Bella, his smile curling easily over his lips. Her laughter caught him just as easily and joined his own with hers. The laughter let his mind work ever darker as he cast another look over to the man on the floor. He had other passions in life, but a person would never guess seeing how much glee this was causing him.
He never had problem with killing and torturing. Some Death Eaters did when they first came into the family, some being a bit more squeamish about this act than others. From the time he joined at eighteen though, not once did his eyes flinch at the terrors he caused. They only fueled him for more blood the next time.
Feeling Bella's grab at his arm, Rodolphus oblidged and slowly stood back up. As she lent on him, Rodolphus moved his hand to the back of her neck and placed it gingerly there. He had forgotten how smooth her skin was under his hand. He missed her.
”Think muggle, your helping us your helping us rid the world of filth.”
"And the world is such a flithy place," Rodolphus mused looking to Bella. He grinned at her laugh, not joining in on it, simply enjoying the chilling sound of it.
”I think I should of left that in, would of save all the mess on the floor.”
Rodolphus watched as the blood swirled and pooled on the stone floor. "I've already made a mess of the place anyways. What's a little bit of blood?" He mused, looking from the floor up to Bella, until the man's sputteringly putrid words cut the air.
Still standing over the man with a look of hate and murder in his eyes, he didn't feel his wife's hand on his shoulder till she spoke. The whisper in his ear sent an intense wave of calm over him, like music soothing the savage beast, he listened carefully to her words. As she moved away from him, Rodolphus felt his ire rising again as his eyes left his wife and looked down at the man on the floor. Deserved to die did he? He deserved a lot less than that. A wave a wand and his suffering would be over, Rodolphus didn't think this muleing wretch deserved that. Some of his victims, he did feel did. The ones that held up, didn't break like a quill, those he didn't mind granting the sweetness of the painless killing curse.
”Go on Roldolphus.”
Looking up at her, he nodded firmly. With a swift move he wrenched the man back up to his knees and drew out his wand. Pausing more a moment, Rodolphus put the wand back into it's case. Reaching down, he wrenched the glass shard out of the man and moved behind him. " 'Ardly a reason to give you the release of the killing curse, muggle," he growled before sinking the shard into the muggle's throat, slicing deeply into it. He moved his hand slowly across the man's throat, making him feel every movement that Rodolphus made. The man twitched as he fell to the ground, but by the time he hit the floor he was dead, blood pooling around his head.
Throwing the shard across the room, Rodolphus moved to grab his leather jacket that he had left near the door. "Flithy muggles," Rodolphus said, sliding his coat over his bloody sleeves. His eyes were betraying his tiredness again. "So much of the world to clean up from them," he added, running his hand through his wiry hair.

" 'Ardly a reason to give you the release of the killing curse, muggle," Bellatrix felt the smile creep across her lips. Roldolphus must of really had something against this muggle unlike some of his past victims. Bellatrix watched her husband as she leaned serenely against the broken door. Bellatrix didn’t take her eyes away from the scene, she couldn’t it was just far to good to watch. Bella gave a small laugh at the blood pouring from the latest victim’s neck.
"So much of the world to clean up from them," Bellatrix nodded curtly, she watched her husband throw on his jacket. ”How much money do you think Borgin’s going to demand dear?” She smirked, Roldolphus had a bad habit of buying ridiculous items from the shops that he destroyed on sleepless nights.
Bellatrix stepped out of the shop and looked at the mess. With a small grin she lifted her wand above the place just to leave a mark. ”Morgis Mortre.” A skull appeared in the night sky with a snake exiting its mouth. It was so perfect up there, the dark mark so beautiful green and glittering up there in the sky. It also laid black on Bella’s skin and on Roldolphus’.
She looked down the dark engulfed alleyway and scowled slightly. The place was clear no danger of their presence being discovered and even if they were there would be no trouble. Maybe a little outrage and more death but that didn’t qualify as trouble.
Since Voldemort took over murder, muggles were concerned was no longer murder. Death Eaters were free to extend their reign how they pleased and to most it was through death or an abuse of power. Every time a new murder was discovered it was usually dismissed and with Lucius Malfoy having reign at the Ministry what could one expect? Lucius Malfoy however was no killer he just seemed to allow it. Besides he didn’t want to get on bad terms with the killers as such. No Lucius had always preferred to talk his way around things all mouth and no action just like his wife whom had not received a dark mark because she viewed it as vulgar and not a mark of dedication.
Judging by the sky it appeared that the night would soon draw to a end and the alley way remained blackened and dark as ever. Bellatrix put one arm gently around Roldolphus waist. ”We ought to go now the day is going to be here shortly and I don’t wish to be questioned. You could do with sleep also.” Bella debated momentarily about apparation and decided against it. The idea in itself was such a waste of energy and the death immersed couple had little of that left. So she began to walk.

”How much money do you think Borgin’s going to demand dear?”
Rodolphus conceded a brief laugh as he looked around the torn up place. His smile never faltered as he followed Bella out of the door. "Probably quite a few galleons. They've always been a little greedy when they know it's my pocket they're dippin' into." He gave his shoulders a shrug as he didn't mind to be parted with what he knew would be a trifling amount of galleons. Money had never been much of an issue with him and if he had to part with it from time to time to get this sort of elation, well, it was money well spent. "Not too much though, if they got any sense in their pointed heads," he added with a sly grin.
Looking up into the night sky as Bella cast her spell, Rodolphus gazed up at the glowing mark with a great deal of pride. The street was so quiet now and Rodolphus took some of that quiet in. Things seemed so much more at rest now then they had some hours ago. Feeling Bella's arm wrap around his waist pulled his gaze from the sky and slowly moved along with her. He looked to her with a smile on his face as he brushed some of her wild hair from her eyes and set his arm around her shoulders, his hand resting on the back of her neck.
”We ought to go now the day is going to be here shortly and I don’t wish to be questioned. You could do with sleep also.”
He smiled easily. "Questioned?" He mused with a funny growl emerging from his tired throat. "How funny," he added. The moment Bella mention sleep, he sighed. "Sleep," he said thinking on the world as they walked. Without realizing it, he was leaning a little more on Bella. His step was still strong, but it was clear he was very worn out.
"It's felt like years since I've slept last," he said. From the streets, Rodolphus could hear a few birds of the morning starting to wake up and chirp. He was shocked with how fast the night had sped by. They must have had more of a time in that store than he thought. Usually, Rodolphus was able to keep a decent track of the time he spent on his muggle toys. Perhaps it was with the inclusion of Bella that made him lose his bearings. It had been a long time since they had teamed together on the torture of muggles.
"You should come out with me more often, love," Rodolphus said, looking over to his wife. "I don't think we've 'ad such a time in quite awhile," he added with a slight smile. Another chirp from a bird made Rodolphus's brow furrow. Why did that blasted thing seem so loud to him?

"Not too much though, if they got any sense in their pointed heads," Bella shook her head. ”Borgin and sense? Something tells me that shall not be the case, you know mister borgin is a smooth talking fiend he’ll have his way.” Bellatrix looked to the sky for a moment. The Lestrange’s were well off in money, they were pure blood and with Bella’s inheritance as a Black money was never an issue. They rarely spent much they didn’t feel the need or ever had the time. Bare essentials were all that was necessary.
"How funny," She raised an eyebrow her face unamused. ”I’m missing the joke.” The small banter between the two as they walked along made them seem like a real couple for once it made them appear like semi civilised if that was possible for such brutality. ”Sleep.” Bella said nothing but carried on walking, Roldolphus’ weight slightly heavier with him leaning on her more so. Roldolphus wasn’t heavy so there wasn’t much of a problem and besides he wasn’t leaning on her too much.
"It's felt like years since I've slept last," four days, well counting the nights events 5 days. It had been five days since Roldolphus had slept and Bellatrix knew it, of course she knew it after all she was his wife and with that came wifely duties. Bellatrix herself got regular sleep, she didn’t need it but she got it for general wellbeing. Bella when asleep didn’t sleep deeply infact one movement could have her awake for she was an alert person and didn’t like the idea of being un-alert as such. With that in mind it was scary how Bellatrix was always so refreshed and lively one could say there was an act of illegal subtances involved. It wasn’t the case but it seemed that way.
They were drawing to an end of the saturated alleyway. The sky were turning red with dawn and the darkness was still as great as ever with the murderous alleyway. Yes the alleyway that took lives and gave those who had been missing from the earth back when it had ran out of uses for them. One would ask why Bellatrix and Roldolphus were attracted to the alley with so much murder, the answer was simple it was because they were the ones doing the murdering, if they wern’t there the place would be much safer infact it would be much quieter.
"You should come out with me more often, love," Bellatrix considered that for a moment and just as she was to answer she was cut of by Roldolphus. "I don't think we've 'ad such a time in quite awhile," Bellatrix smirked. ”Indeed not, perhaps I shall make a more regular appearance my pet.” Bellatrix scowled at the bird that was chirping away happily. Within seconds of spotting it the bird was on the ground dead. Bella tutted at it’s body.
Need she be so violent? What did the poor feathered beast ever do, what crime did it ever perpetrate. Such a free innocent, being dead and for what reason. ”Useless thing what use was it?” Bella asked if only to herself. They stepped out of the alleyway and were now drawing closer to the house.

”Indeed not, perhaps I shall make a more regular appearance my pet.”
Looking over just in time to catch that fleeting smirk of her, Rodolphus grinned and laughed quietly at the remark. She was really the only person in the world he'd let get away with calling him 'pet'. He hoped she would come out with him again, though the years had taught him not to count too heavily on it. Unless it was order by their master, Bella had always been a woman to do things by her own accord. And while it often left Rodolphus quite alone, he wasn't sure he'd want it any other way. Something about having a wife that was simpering turned his stomach.
The drop of the bird and the following silence made Rodolphus shake his head a little bit. She was an amusing little thing to watch and Rodolphus still couldn't even begin to predict her. Walking down the street toward their home, Rodolphus found himself holding her close as the odd pair moved. Slowly the Alley was coming to life with the reddening morning, Rodolphus soon found himself squinting against the intense rays of the rising sun. But their home wasn't far, Rodolphus could even see it on the corner now, so the sun didn't annoy him too much. And as much as she might think she could, Bella couldn't snuff the sun out like she had that little bird.
"Mr. Lestrange!"
Forcing his eyes to open a little wider, Rodolphus turned to look back at who called his name. He knew very well who it was. Stepping a little in front of Bella, he looked down at the squat man with very silver hair.
"Mr. Borgin," Rodolphus said in a gravelly tone, a slight nod of his head. Borgin looked furious and frazzled at the same time. "Is this early call in regard to the purchases I made in your shop last night?" He asked, a cool smile crossing his face, fixing the lapels of his coat.
"Yes it is," Borgin said, curtly, looking briefly from Rodolphus to Bella and then back to him. "Mr. Lestrange, I had some very important thin--"
Borgin sounded like he was about to launch in to a long list of things and in his speedy and frantic tone, Rodolphus cut him off quickly with a raise of his hand.
"Yes, yes, I know Borgin. I robbed you blind. So 'ere. Until I get down there to pay you all proper like, here's a little somethin' to tide you over, alright then?" Rodolphus said, pressing a small purse of money into Borgin's chest. His tone was dreadful hinting at darker things if Borgin didn't turn on his heel right then and there. With a nervous smile and laugh, Borgin nodded.
"Good morning to you then, Mr. Lestrange," Borgin said and with a quick polite nod to Bella, turned and headed back to his shops.
"Bloody shopkeepers, always up too early for their own good," Rodolphus growled tiredly, setting his arm back around Bella and walking the few more steps to their home.

They were nearly there, nearly home judging by the shade of the sky it was much earlier into the next day then first thoughts had first allowed. Bellatrix looked at the man who had just called out, she turned around with Roldolphus and through him a rather irritated look. Couldn’t he see that they were trying to get home? "Mr. Borgin,"
"Yes, yes, I know Borgin. I robbed you blind. So 'ere. Until I get down there to pay you all proper like, here's a little somethin' to tide you over, alright then?" Bellatrix watched as Roldolphus gave Borgin the money and saw him scurry off. She just new he’d be digging into the vault again, bloody Borgin and his ways of getting money. ”I should of killed im’ if it weren’t for the fact we’d never hear the end of it.”
"Bloody shopkeepers, always up too early for their own good," Bella gave a little chuckle to that. ”I could have had that one sleeping for a long time no doubt burke would have been asking for him afterwards.” They carried on walking, a few shop keepers coming out of there hidey holes and opening up for the morning. A few looked a little confused at the couple walking through the streets with reasonable happiness.
Soon they came to a halt outside a brick built house. Bellatrix started walking again. Up a few steps and through the entrance of a rusty black gate. She quickly pushed open the door which wasn’t locked. Why should they lock it? No one would ever steal anything from the Lestranges unless they wanted to die a gruesome death, a very gruesome death.
She quickly removed her cloak and hung it on the coat stand, which stood quite solemly on it’s own. A few other cloaks hung limply on the stand, each of which were made of a lightweight material that were useless to protect from the cold. The inside of the house was narrow, a long hallway that was dark and bareley lit led to two entrances, one to a simple living area and the other to the kitchen. A wooden staircase wen’t up to the next levels where one could find themself going mad with the levels that the house seemed to produce. One level had 2 bedrooms one, which was used for storage purposes, and the other belonged to Roldolphus and Bellatrix themseleves. Above them on a second floor were a few more bedrooms and a beautiful bathroom, which was admitedly the nicest place in the house. The place was adorned with the love of dark arts and most could step into the place only to wonder if perhaps the dark lord lived they’re himself.
Bellatrix chose to take her and Roldolphus into the living area where she pushed him down into a seat. ”Useless thing.” She muttered her words sensing her husbands growing need for that of sleep.

Rodolphus listened quietly to Bella's comments about Borgin, each time flashing her an amused look. He half wished she had shot a little something at the pesky man. Glad to hear the squeak of the black gate again, Rodolphus stepped easily into the small bit of yard the house had. He followed in behind Bella and pulled the door closed behind him.
Shutting out the growing noise of the streets, Rodolphus slowly pulled his coat from his shoulders. Bella had already disappeared out of sight, but it didn't matter. Well, not at the moment as Rodolphus set his coat on the stand next to Bella's cloak. Running his hand over the cloak for a moment, Rodolphus shook his head and headed toward the living area.
Unbuttoning the front of his grey vest, Rodolphus paused, looking down at the blood on his sleeves. Smirking to himself, his feet continued to carry his form toward the living room. Not quite down the hall, he felt Bella guide him toward the living room and set him into one of the great dark green chairs in the room. Letting all of his weight fall into the seat, he rested his forehead on his finger tips.
”Useless thing.”
Not moving his head, just his eyes, he looked up to Bella. A small smile passed over his face. "Mustn't be too useless, love. You'd 'ave never kept me," Rodolphus mused in a tired tone. He laughed in his growling way as he let his head fall back against the chair. A small part of him knew that he had to be right.
It may have been arranged for them to be married, but he had a feeling that Bella wouldn't have stayed if there wasn't some quality she liked about him. He didn't waste much time on wondering what it was anymore. It was moments like a few hours ago that he lived for with Bella. He had felt...well, he had felt young again, like he had only just graduated from Hogwarts. But now, his bones were aching and tiredness was creeping steadily over him.
Looking back up to Bella, he grinned. "You were brilliant last night, love. Seemed like we were just kids again," he said.
