~The Face~
Sallow skin of a pale colour is stretched across the long thin face of Severus Snape, framed by a mass of shoulder length, lank, limp and greasy black hair. Snape cares not for his appearance and what other people see in him. He is long past childish games of looking nice and you may think it’s fairly deep for a sadistic man, but it truly is what’s on the inside. A pair of rounded black eyes sits on his face. His eyes are pure black, cold and empty, reminding you of long, never-ending cold and empty tunnels, no warmth inside them. He has a long hooked nose inherited from his mother and long thin pale pink lips that normally show the trademark sneer.
~The body~
Tall, Snape towers over most students and is still taller than a lot of the eldest wands, even if it’s by an inch or so, all the more good for the intimidating look. Though he is very thin. Not because he doesn’t eat much or has a high metabolism, just because he has inherited his father’s thin and narrow structure. He was a long and lanky child but now he has proportioned out though no broad shoulders or muscles.
~The fashion~
Being a true wizard in his opinion, though not of pure blood, he has no time for silly muggle attire and will always be seen wearing long black wizards robes. The ones that give most students the impression of an oversized bat.
favorite;;
The one thing Snape prides himself on is his sneer. It's pratically trade mark and he knows he can crumple any student with one curve of his lips.
hate;;
There isn't really anything Severus hates about his appearance because, as you can probably tell he doesn't really care about what he looks like.

general;;
There is more to Severus Snape than meets the eye. He looks like the kind of teacher you wouldn’t want to cross and he certainly is that sort of teacher. You mess around in his classroom and you’ll get detention faster than you can say ‘unfair.’ Unless of course you are a Slytherin student. Then in Snape’s classes, you have what you might call an upper hand. Being head of Slytherin House and once a Slytherin student himself, Snape favours the Slytherins. He wants them to win the house cup, the Quidditch cup and most importantly look better than the Gryffindors.
Slytherin’s mostly respect Snape because he favours them and Snape acts like a Hogwarts student himself in the way he acts around Gryffindors. He abuses his power by twisting rules slightly to make a reason to give out a detention or take off more than the necessary amount of points. He despises Gryffindors the most, that’s a natural house rivalry thing, but anyone who isn’t in Slytherin isn’t ‘worthy’ for want of a better word. Yes it’s unfair, but Snape wants Slytherin to win. There is a competitive spirit there and besides that’s life and learning through it.
Sadistic, cruel, evil, sour and power loving. Words that all sum up Severus Snape. He loves power, his power as a Professor. It’s twisted it’s sadistic and callous but that’s Snape and you live with it because, after all, he is higher up the hierarchy than the students, than a lot of teachers, being a head of house and he abuses the power he has, but he loves it and that power hungry attitude and seeing a Gryffindor, Hufflepuff or Ravenclaw student suffer because of it.

;; origins
general;;
Born on January the 9th to a witch mother and a muggle father. A muggle father who was quite abusive towards his mother. He would’ve been to Snape, had it not been the fact that he confided to his room and sat in the corner reading books on potions and mostly the dark arts. Listening day after day to the shouts coming through his bedroom floor from his parents. Snape would often see families, mostly muggle ones, walking hand in hand down the road to the park or sweet shop. Snape would follow them when he was old enough to leave the house. But he normally managed to sneak out and sit outside in the streets or on the park. That was the most regular place he visited.
He was jealous. Jealous of the families, playing on the swings, parents pushing them, laughing, joking and fighting with the siblings. And Snape and no one until the girl came along… He had no one and nothing. The girl. Lily was her name. Instantly Severus knew what she was, that she was a witch. A sweet little girl who he befriended instantly, bewildering her with tales of magic. It gave him utter delight to enthral Lily with this information and they soon became close friends – only for their friendship to grow even more when they both started at Hogwarts.
And off he went to Hogwarts. He thought that it would all change when he went there. That he’d fit in, perfectly. But Lily got sorted into the worst house possible, Gryffindor. And there he was, a Slytherin. He wanted nothing more than to be in Slytherin. And he soon met some friends. He found he had a certain talent for potion making and an exceptional one for the dark arts. He found the whole subject fascinating and so did his friends; they were all immersed in it.
But there was a downside. A massive one. James Potter and his right hand man Sirius Black. If it weren’t for those two boys and there ways, Hogwarts would have been the best experience of his life. As it was, those to boys made some of his time hell. Bullying him, winding him up. Oh they had something against him all right and Snape didn’t just lie and let them walk over him but sometimes, two against one, the two has the upper hand and he more than wants to forget what happened in his fifth year.
But through it all he had a friendship that no one could break. A friendship with Lily Evans that he wanted to be much more than friendship. But of course, she eventually fell for James Potter. It was almost written in the script. Severus could never get anything he wanted.
He graduated from Hogwarts and didn’t really know what he wanted to do with his life. He was quick to sign up as a death eater however and remains to this day, maybe Lord Voldemort's most trusted servant, though Bellatrix Lestrange would beg to differ. Severus though, still does have some feelings for his old friend Lily Potter. He can sometimes never help but think about what could have been.

Severus Snape was not in a very good mood. He had already been driven to boiling point by Harry Potter’s not so amusing pranks who undoubtedly was going to be causing much more hell and havoc throughout the school this year with the help of the notorious Sirius Black. Snape had complained and complained, argued his point and complained some more but it seemed that Albus Dumbledore refused to give him the post of Defense against the dark arts Professor. Then to cap it all he had given the vacancy to none other than Sirius Black! Severus was beyond disbelief by this point, he could not believe he had to spend an entire year living under the same roof as the man who had made his life hell and was certainly doing nothing to redeem himself now.
And now he was late for his class. He had more infuriating matters to deal with.
The dungeon door banged open and the class fell silent at once. Snape strolled slowly to the front watching the students through narrowed eyes as he sat himself down behind his desk at the front of the room. He pulled out his wand and held it in his right hand. Of course he couldn’t use it on the students, but it looked all the more intimidating. He surveyed the class all were Hufflepuff and Ravenclaw 5th years. “Which one of you,’” He spoke slowly and in a deadly whisper to give them the impression that he was angry. Very angry.
“Tried but was obviously unsuccessful in breaking into my private stores?” His voice had been rising as he spoke. He couldn’t help but keep the anger from his voice. He didn’t know where all his rage was coming from but it was important that he found out whom the criminal was. Unfortunately, there was no way it was Potter. Or his ignorant little friends. He watched the class; every pair of scared eyes was on him all of them were boring into his as though trying to deny it was they. He could look into them all, find out who it was but Dumbledore would never forgive him then.
Instead he raised his wand and it let out a loud bang like a gunshot. The class jumped a foot in the air in unison, it was quite amusing. All the rage and anger had been building up inside him for a while now and it was unfortunate that he had to take it out on this potions class. Unfortunate for them at least. “We will sit here, in this classroom for the rest of eternity if we have to.” He told them in the same dangerous voice. “So the sooner you own up the better, the longer you leave it, the worse the punishment will be.” He ran his own black eyes past every student and after one lap around the class; a Hufflepuff boy raised his hand. Snape stood up slowly and made his way around the desk and towards the boy in the second row whose hand dropped instantly when Snape’s face was a foot from his. “Detention. Every day this week and the next. And the next.” He stared into the boys terrified face he could tell it was he; he didn’t even need to use legilemency.
