Ofelia is the kind of person who’s very proud about her appearance, so no one would be surprised to see her striding down Diagon alley wand held tightly in her right hand heading straight for the robe making shop.
And that’s exactly what Ofelia was doing, she’d had a tiresome morning and felt the need to treat herself, a new dress robe perhaps? Ofelia knew there would be a ball happening at Hogwarts soon and she liked to dress to impress and balls where of course the perfect occasion. On the other hand Ofelia liked to have a large collection of dress robes just for the fun of it so either way she was going to win.
She entered the shop, the shop bell ringing warning Madam Malkin of her arrival. Ofelia stopped to admire the fine materials on display wondering which fabric she fancied choosing and what colours.
At that point Madam Malkin appeared and drew herself to her full height at the sight of Ofelia…her most…difficult customer. “Miss Cruz…How can I help you?” she said looking at Ofelia with disdain. Ofelia smirked as she turned her dark eyes on the woman who was considerably shorter than herself “I’d like a dress robe” she said curtly walking past her and looking at herself in the long mirror.
“I’d like the silk material in dark blue instead of the pink” she said as she replaced a stay hair from her face as she continued to check her appearance in the long mirror. Vain you might say? Well Ofelia would say conscious about her appearance. What’s wrong with wanting to look nice?
“I’m sorry I do not have that in at the moment, I could order it for you…” Madam Malkin said calmly. Ofelia turned slowly and gazed down at Madam Malkin “Well order it then and stop messing about” she said attempting to keep her annoyance to minimum only she wasn’t very good with unorganised people. Madam Malkin nodded and disappeared quickly out back again and Ofelia sighed as she went back to look at the materials again. She might find something she liked in this poor collection.

It had only gone by three days since she had been transfered from the Ministry to work at Hogwarts but she would still be starting in two days time. She had no idea why they had moved her and it worried her. Had they found out that she wasn't loyal to the dark lord? Had they found out that she was in the Order? All these questions had bouncing around in her since she had gotten the massage.
When she had told her son that she was starting as a teacher at Hogwarts he had been both happy and angry. He were happy because even if he was just 11 years old he understood what was going on in the world and that it wasn't a safe place and that Mercedes needed to do exactly what her bosses told her to do. But he was also angry because he really didn't want to have his mother around every day of his life until he was 17. He really didn't want her to know about every little trick he pulled or about exactly how he did in school. But he had accepted it really quick because he knew that there was just nothing he could do about it.
Right now Mercedes was heading down to wards the dress shop to get new robes. She really didn't want to start a new job without new robes. This meant also getting her son new robes, and a dress robe. Walking down Diagon Alley with the sun shining on her face should be making her happy but it didn't. There was one thing that made her really don't want to start working at Hogwarts, her sister.
Mercedes hadn't talked to Ofelia for almost 10 years and she wasn't looking forward to do it either. She hated all that her sister was as much as a person could possibly hate someone or something but still she was her sister and despite everything she still loved her. She wanted to put up the day she had to meet her sister for as long as she could. Both for her own sake and for Javier's sake.
Now she was just in front of Madame Malkins and stepped inside. She heard the familiar ringing by the door bell. She looked around and saw that there was only one other person inside the shop. She could only see the back of that person but still recognized who it was and her brain just froze. She wasn't ready for this, not today, not now.

Ofelia rolled her eyes as she heard the shop bell go, if someone was going to come in her and make Madam Malkin not serve her with as much attention she was not going to be impressed. Ofelia rolled the sleeves of her light blue summer dress up revealing the Dark Mark tattooed on her right arm. She glanced in the mirror to see who It was that had dared to enter the shop while she was shopping here, at first she didn’t recognise the woman who stood behind her, after all 10 years did a lot to a person. However she recognized that face and those eyes, and her lips and figure was too much like her own for her to remain confused as to the identity of the person.
Ofelia didn’t bother turning around, she had made a vow to herself never to lay eyes on her sister again as long as she lived. Things had sadly been made difficult for her, the ministry placing her sister at Hogwarts was a real blow to Ofelia who had found out a few weeks ago. But she had thought at least she had a few weeks to prepare for the meeting, yet it seemed she didn’t.
Ofelia contemplated ignoring her sister’s presence behind her, but then it wasn’t her style, she was much happier making snide remarks and making sure she was in control.
She turned around slowly and fixed her dark eyes on her sister, her wand was still held in her right hand. “Lets make this clear” Ofelia said getting straight to business, she wasn’t one to go with all the pleasantries, “I don’t want to have to speak to you unless its about Hogwarts work” she said not hiding the venom from her voice.
One thing that the presence of her sister brought was the memories of the child that she had carried for nine months yet barely laid her eyes on. Ofelia would never admit it to anyone but once or twice she had seen a child and mother and felt those pangs, they had however quickly disappeared and been replaced with disgust; a child would ruin her life she wouldn’t be able to fight for what she believed in and any way…she’d be a poor mother she didn’t care about other peoples needs.

Her first instinct were to just turn around and walk as far from the shop as she possibly could, but she didn't. She wouldn't have been able to even it she wanted to. That's how much the situation had chocked her. Seeing her sister standing there in front of her again after ten years was even harder that she had thought. She had always believed that if she saw her sister again it would be far into the future and they would magically had become friends.
First Mercedes thought that Ofelia would just try to ignore her and leave the shop as soon as possibly but she turned around to face her. Seeing her face hurt really bad, not just that she actually did miss her, she saw so much of Javier in that face. Her son where kinder that Mercedes had ever been so how could he ever be looking like Ofelia. Looking like one of the most evil persons she knew.
It struck her again the thought she had had for so long now. If she saw all the similar things in their faces will anyone else, will Javier himself see it? Mercedes had seriously thought about putting Javier in another school far of somewhere but the more she thought about it the crazier the idea seemed. Mercedes knew that Ofelia would never tell Javier the truth, not even to hurt her because it would hurt herself to. But Javier hadn't inherited any of his looks from his father and there fore he looked almost only like his real mother. This problem had been bothering her for years but she knew that they must face each other one of these days.
Now Ofelia spoke to her for the first time since she had left Javier in her arms and her voice were to familiar. You could think you wouldn't remember a voice that you haven't heard for ten years but you did. "So you think I have been really looking forward to talk to you, do you?" She couldn't help but to snapp back. "And you leave my boy alone, I'm just warning you know." She added and now it was out there, but she had to just make it clear once and for all. Ofelia had no right to even once look at him as anything more than a student. She had no right to take him away from her.
Mercedes really wanted Madame Malkins to come back in here soon so that someone else than just the two of them where in there.

Ofelia looked at her sister with disgust not quite believing what she was hearing, her good for nothing sister was telling her what to do. She had no right. “I will do what I d**n well please” Ofelia said angrily, “and I don’t want anything to do with ‘your boy’” she said her voice shaking with annoyance, “I would have thought you would have learnt that by now, dearest sister”.
Ofelia couldn’t let anyone find out the child was hers and if her sister let it slip to anyone, she would be dead before she realised Ofelia was even there. The child’s very existence could endanger Ofelia position as a death eater and that was her life.
“You had better keep your side of the bargain and keep your mouth shut and I wont harm you or ‘your boy’” she said flicking her hair and drifting towards another shelve and looking through the rack of materials. She paused as she came across a black silk material and a black netting. Perfecto, she thought to herself, it was just what she was looking for.
“Okay I’ve put it on order” Madam malkin said as she entered the shop pausing to look between the two women. “oh never mind” Ofelia said absent mindedly “I’ve found the material I want” she said flicking her wand so the two rolls of material left the shelves and propped themselves up against the walls.
Madam Malkin sighed “right, I’ll cancel that order and then come to measure you.” She stopped and turned her attention to Mercedes “and then I will help you” she said quickly before leaving the room again. Ofelia rolled her eyes, “these shop keepers” she said absent mindedly, “so unorganised”.
Yo le resisten, she thought as she watched her sister, “so are we clear?” she asked as she pocketed her wand and folded her arms, waiting for an answer which had better be the correct answer.

The look on Ofelia's face told her stronger than the words that just came out of her mouth. She had really turned evil and maybe Mercedes had just looked past it but not she saw it in her face she was a true death eater. Just as true as Bellatrix and Malfoy and she had to fight really hard not to start crying.
She had always told herself that there was still chance to save her sister, still time to make everything right but there wasn't. She chose her path a long time ago and by now she had been brainwashed to never think as she once used to ever again. It hurt because Mercedes didn't know if maybe somehow she wouldn't be able to protect her son from all this. Because maybe one day he would find out the horrifying truth.
"I just learned everything there is to learn about you Ofelia and I'm glad that you are staying away." She said now in a very calm voice. She didn't know where from she got the strength to talk in a calm voice to the person standing opposite her because her mind were telling her to scream as loud as she possibly could. "And don't you worry about me saying anything to your dear lord. He probably knows it anyways."
"We are clear dearest sister." She said. Looking straight into her eyes she said, "though I'm not even sure I can still call you that." Mercedes thought it felt both good and weird to say thoughts word to her own twin sister but it was a relief.
Madame Malkins got back into the shop and Mercedes turned her attention to the old woman. Her sister, Ofelia was giving the people around her a tuff time just for fun as usual. Mercedes didn't even noticed that she gave Ofelia the you-didn't-have-to-do-that look. It was just an old habit.
She started going around in the shop looking and some dark fabric for Javier's Dressing robe and some for her own robes. As she looked she found a really nice black fabric for Javier's dressing robe and a some dark green, crimson and black fabric to herself. She took the rolls out and held them so that Malkin could turn them into robes when she got back.

Three days ago, Wesley’s mother had been transferred from her job at the Ministry to Hogwarts. This had annoyed the young boy a bit. The idea of his mother being able to see every step he took as well as talk to any of his teachers if he ever misbehaved in class was not the ideal situation for him. He knew, however, that Mercedes would have to do whatever her bosses said. If she didn’t, she could be in some serious trouble, and Wesley knew that. He wanted nothing to happen to his mother. Even if she was embarrassing sometimes, he still loved her. Besides, this could be a blessing in disguise.
Wesley was meandering the streets of Diagon Alley and peering into the glass displays of shops that interested him. His face was pressed against the glass of one particular shop that was selling pets that were allowed at Hogwarts. He grinned as a particularly majestic gray owl stood between him and its newly-hatched babies. He tore his eyes away from the birds and looked further down the street toward Madame Malkin’s. He was supposed to be getting fitted for new robes today. He grimaced at the thought.
He did like looking good, and had no qualms of going places with his mother, but the idea of having to stand still and shop disgusted him. He knew, although, that he was in need of some new robes and dress robes, so he gave a goodbye glance to the birds and took a step forward toward the robe shop.
The child had to resist the urge of looking into the other interesting shops like the joke shops, Quidditch supply store, and a particular shop that sold oddly smelling plants. He wanted nothing more than to turn cheek and run into the nearest shop. He would do anything to keep him from getting fitted; but his mother needed him, so he pushed the door of the shop, and the bell on the door jingled upon his entry.
Upon entering the shop, Wesley saw that there were only three other people inside. He dismissed the witch standing with Madame Malkin and walked over to his mother. He gave her a sweet smile to show that he wasn’t bitter about clothes shopping and said, “Hi mom.” He hugged her and leaned his head on her side with a sigh. So the shopping began.

"I just learned everything there is to learn about you Ofelia and I'm glad that you are staying away." Ofelia didn’t respond she merely stood watching her sister her face now emotionless as she listened. Hadn’t she made it clear enough to begin with she wanted nothing to do with her family anymore? Of course Ofelia suspected her sister had hoped to ‘save’ her, she had always been like that, especially when they where younger Mercedes had always been the good one the one that got praised and Ofelia had always felt she never did anything right. Even when she passed her exams with flying colours no one seemed to give it the attention she needed…wanted.
"And don't you worry about me saying anything to your dear lord. He probably knows it anyways." Ofelia glared at Mercedes when she said this, she was going to get herself into trouble if she kept talking like that. She wasn’t impressed with her sister right now, “Look Mercedes” she said bluntly, she was going to give her sister a warning and this was going to be the only piece of advice she would ever give her sister “If anything about this gets out to anyone. I will be the least of your worries, its more than likely that a death eater will hunt you. You and your son” Ofelia didn’t break eye contact with her sister when she said this, wanting her sister to be sure that Ofelia wasn’t lying about this.
Ofelia rolled her eyes at her sister not even bothering to reply as she waited impatiently for Madam Malkin to return. She decided she wanted two outfits out of the material a dress for special occasions and a day suit, glancing at her watch she sighed wondering what on earth was taking the woman so long to cancel an order. Ofelia was never the most patient of souls.
Nothing on this earth could have prepared Ofelia for what happened next, the shop bell rang and a young boy entered. He couldn’t have been more than 12, she wouldn’t have given the boy a second thought only he approached her sister and addressed her ‘mom’. Ofelia stood watching the two expressionless, anybody looking at her would have had a difficult time figuring out what she was thinking. Her lips where held tightly in her usual pout, yet her eyes seemed emotionless…black.
This was the boy in which she had given birth to nearly eleven years ago and if she had passed him in the street she wouldn’t have known it. To her the boy looked a lot like that blasted muggle she had been so foolish with yet at the same time he had her nose and as she looked closer she could see her eyes on his face. As she thought about it even more she realised she hadn’t a clue what the child’s name was. It made her feel better about herself knowing she had nothing to do with the child…she was errr merely doing her sister a kindness by giving her a child. Yes that’s what it was a kindness.
“Is this the child?” she asked simply looking at Mercedes with her still emotionless expression. She was testing her sister now, curious as to whether she would pick on the situation quickly, this would be the first test but almost certainly not the last.

Mercedes actually got a little scared when Ofelia started to say that there would be Death Eaters going after her and Wesley if she kept saying what she thought about Voldemort. "Maybe my dearest Ofelia they would hunt you to. Because after all you had a child with a muggle. And what's that? Like number one death sin in you little death eater world." Mercedes answered her in a cold voice. She couldn't go telling her death eater friends to kill her because she was saying those things about them. After all she would actually get in almost more trouble then Mercedes.
After this waiting for Madame Malkins were not very comfortable since the air between the two ladies were electric. The sound that finally broke the silence where not the shop keeper coming back, but the entrance bell that rang. In threw the door came a to well know face, her son. She had totally forgotten about telling him to meet her here and this was not the best situation to introduce the persons around her to each other.
Now that she saw the two of them next to each other she saw all the likeness but also the differences and she was truly glad that there were many differences as well. He came up to her and gave her a hug. She hugged him back and kissed him gently on the head. "Hey there you. I didn't think you would be here on time but you were so good job mister." She said in a very glad voice that didn't show anything about the previous conversation. "So ready to be a model for a while now?" She asked him still smiling.
Then she heard her sister speak again and since Mercedes had hoped she would ignore them she got a bit disappointed by hearing her voice. "Yes Ofelia, this is my lovely little boy." She said putting one arm around Wesley without really noticing it. It was just a sing to the woman opposite her that she was ready to protect this child with her life.
After a few minuets Madame Malkins entered the shop again and Mercedes gave her a very honest smile. She leaned down again to pick up the fabric that she had dropped on the floor earlier. For just this once Mercedes really hadn't want to see her son because she had tried to protect him from this woman for eleven years now. But then she figured that he would have met her in two weeks at Hogwarts anyway so this was maybe knowing about her in forehand was better.

Shopping. That was one of Mayani's favorite things to do. She just loved going out and meeting her friends. Or in some cases she makes new ones. It depended on her kind of mood. And now she was in a friendly and playful mood. She had met up with a group of her friends and they had a waterfight in one of the alleys. Which would also explained why she was wet. But she didn't care though. Mayani had fun to say the least. Her cheeks where red with excitment as she walked into Madam Malkin's store.
Humming to herself, she stopped to adjust her long dark blue dress. Her hair was down in its usuall waves. The young girl looked around. Ofeila had said she would be here when she was ready. Ah ha, she thought, skipping over. Skidding to a halt she wrapped her arms around her cousin's waist.
"Guess who Ofeila." she said happily.

Mercedes returned his hug, and Wesley inhaled the well-known aroma of his mother that reminded him of when he was much younger. His mind went back to the early years of his life when he would listen to his mother’s melodic voice as she read to him. He smiled at this thought when she kissed him, but when he realized that there were other people in the room, his face turned a bit pink. “Mom.” He said elongating the word to show his discomfiture of her public display of affection. Didn’t she know that he was allowed to kiss her in public, but she wasn’t allowed to kiss him?
She told him how proud she was of him for making it to the shop on time, which made him grin proudly. He wanted to prove that he was responsible before his mother started at Hogwarts. He didn’t want her thinking that he needed to be looked after all the time. What if he was hanging out with his friends? He couldn’t have her hovering over him like a hawk. This was not to say that Wesley truly believed his mother would do something like this, but it was better to be safe than sorry. She then asked if he was ready to be a model, to which he shrugged. This, of course, meant no, but he knew that protesting would get him nowhere.
The woman who seemed to have been having a conversation with his mother before Wesley arrived spoke and asked if he was the child. He assumed they had been talking about him before he entered the shop, which made him a bit aggravated. He wanted to know what they were saying about him and if it had been good. “You were talking about me?” Wesley asked looking up at his mother.
When his gaze returned to the witch before him, he noticed something a bit familiar though he didn’t know what. Whatever it was seemed to be buried in the deepest fathoms of his memory, hidden somewhere between his birth and the time he moved to London. The woman was beautiful and elegant with a bit of a haughty atmosphere about her that seemed to only add to her beauty. He wrinkled his brow slightly and wondered who this woman had been. He had never seen her speaking with his mother before that day. He knew most of his mother’s friends.
Suddenly bringing Wesley out of his head, two hands wrapped themselves around the woman’s waist and shrieked, “Guess who, Ofelia!” Wes inquiringly craned his neck to see to whom the arms belonged, though the girl had hidden her face behind the mystifying woman, who Wesley now knew to be named Ofelia.

"Maybe my dearest Ofelia they would hunt you to. Because after all you had a child with a muggle. And what's that? Like number one death sin in you little death eater world." Ofelia was going to argue with her sister explaining that it wouldn’t matter if they hunted her down because in the end her sister would have killed both herself and her son with revealing this information, but she didn’t knowing her sister was clever enough to have worked it out for herself and was now merely protecting her pride.
"Yes Ofelia, this is my lovely little boy." Ofelia couldn’t help but feel slightly irritated in which Mercedes flaunted her relationship her son, it was obvious she felt threatened by her presence and Ofelia liked that, she liked it very much. Her sister should feel threatened. Ofelia knew she wasn’t going to tell anyone about his true parentage but still she could have some fun winding Mercedes up about it. She wondered if Mercedes was so attached to the boy why she hadn’t bothered to have a child of her own?
Although Ofelia had quite happily moved on with her life after the birth she stilled bared the scars and stretch marks, it was only now a wizard had released some products which vanished these scars and she had been able to finally rid herself of them and of the last thing that reminded herself about the boy.
Ofelia was about to reply to Mercedes when she felt two arms wrap around her waist, a frown flickered across her face. She knew very well who it was, unwrapping the child’s arms from her waist she wondered what she had got herself into by taking the girl from her adoptive parents. She knew she had done the right thing no family was going to prevent a Cruz from attending Hogwarts, they had a reputation to uphold and she didn’t like the idea of having a magically incapable cousin.
“Oh Mayani” she said tiredly as she glanced down at her summer dress which now had a large wet patch round the waist, “what on earth have you been up to?” she asked trying to keep the annoyance from her voice as she used her wand to dry both herself and Mayani. Madam Malkin had returned and Ofelia quickly handed her the rolls of material instructing her as to how she’d like her dress “I guess you’ll be needing Hogwarts Robes to wont you Mayani” she added glancing back to her girl”
Ofelia hadn’t forgotten who else was in the shop and she turned back to her sister with a mysterious look on her face “Oh I forgot to inform you sister,” she said emphasising the word sister, “This is our Cousin, she will be staying with me while she attends Hogwarts. Her family is still in Spain” she said her dark eyes sparkling.
