The Wizarding World is different than you know it¡¦

Imagine a world in which the Boy that Lived was just another ordinary wizard on his way to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry like any normal wizard, his parents still alive and well. A world where the prophecy was never made¡¦ Imagine a world where Lord Voldemort murdered Dumbledore¡¦

The world is altered The Dark Lord took over the world, and now runs everything. Hogwarts School is under Severus Snapes command and Lucius Malfoy runs the ministry. Nowhere is safe.

Curfews are in place in the wizarding villages and no Mudblood or Blood traitor may venture out of their home after 10.00pm. Everything is segregated for Purebloods and the¡¦lower class of wizards. Anyone who is not high class is in great danger and many deaths occur.

But the Order of the Phoenix is forming. Created in Dumbledores memory it is run by Lily and James Potter, they fight for equal rights.

;; appearance

general;; Draco likes to say that he inherited his good looks from both sides of his family, but in all honesty, his looks aren't necessarily good. In the most basic sense, they are, but Draco manages to set them off with a style that he likes to call his own, and manages to mess them up completely. He's got a swagger and a sneer that he thinks is cool and confident, but in reality, it makes him look utterly creepy and snobbish. He can't really pull off that "king of the world" look, but God help him, he really does try. You certainly can tell he's from a posh family at first glance, even when he's in his school robes and not wearing something that was probably overpriced. If he were a Muggle, you could tell he'd be doing community service for joyriding his parents' yacht just by looking at him.

However, there's no real other reason why Draco shouldn't be attractive. He's a little tall for his age, about 5'8, and is skinny in an average kind of way. His light blond hair is cut short, and since he hasn't started growing facial hair yet, he looks neat. His eyes are a cool grey, and, like his hair color and some of his other features, he inherited them from his father. His jaw-line is a little high, his face looks a bit ratlike, and he's as prone to acne as any teenager, but he doesn't necessarily look ugly. No, Draco manages to ruin the appeal he might have had by trying to look cool.
favorite;; The whole package, baby!
hate;; What's there to hate?
heritage;; British, Pureblood
ethnicity;; Caucasian

;; personality
There's an egg that's been sitting out in the summer sun for about a week, and then there's Draco Malfoy. If you can tell who's more spoiled, then you must be very clever. Draco has been spoiled rotten all his life and knows it. Whether he cares about it or not is a different matter, but he's used to getting exactly what he wants and being able to throw a huge fit when he doesn't. He doesn't cry or scream like he did when he was a child, but he can still sulk and snap and generally be a nuisance. That's just the way he is, and if you have a complaint, leave it with the house elf.

Of course, there are people that Draco wouldn't dare to say no to. The first is his father, whom Draco has idealized ever since he can remember, but then again, there's a lot to like. After all, how many people are Minister of Magic? The second is his aunt Bellatrix, and that's because anyone in their right mind knows not to get in her way. The third is Voldemort, for obvious reasons. The fourth is Snape, because it's always favorable to be on the headmaster's good side.

Knowing (and being related to) all lot of extremely important people, Draco likes to lord it over people that he could tell their superiors what they're doing, and then they'd really be in for it. Like any good Slytherin, Draco uses whatever tools he has to his advantage, and if he can namedrop in any situation that isn't going his way, then by Merlin, he's going to do it. This isn't what most people consider clever or resourceful, but you'd honestly be surprised what simple white lies can do for your popularity. It's certainly earned Draco a few friends.

Though Draco might have enough ego for to split among most up of the students at Hogwarts, this doesn't mean that he lives up to it. When it comes right down to it, Draco isn't really cut out for being a Death Eater. He's racist enough, and could probably talk the talk, but he's not sure he could live up to the sort of reputation that the Death Eaters have. For one thing, he's not honestly sure if he could go through with killing someone, even if it was someone he was supposed to hate. He knows exactly what it takes to use an Unforgivable, and all his life he's never had anything more than petty hatred for anyone. He's never taken much personally, assuming that he was at a level of society that protected him from all the common people. He's more the type to fall back on other people's reputations, and that just isn't murderer material.

As you might have guessed, Draco isn't really the coolest kid on the block. He thinks he is, bless him, but he's really not especially talented and isn't a very interesting person as people go. He's still a bully and has his friends, but it wouldn't be very surprising if they looked down on him. He's passing and would probably get as many OWLs as he wanted, but the only subject he's honestly got talent in is Charms. In short, he's kind of a dork.[blockquote]

;; origins

general;;
If you can believe it, the Malfoy family isn't very old or very mysterious. Well, I take that back, it is old. At one point back in the fifteenth century, they had a moderate fortune, but within a few generations, this was mostly gone. There are some halfbloods in the Malfoy tree, but they were mainly brushed aside when Egeus Malfoy came to political power in the late nineteenth century. From then on, they became a success story, gaining wealth from campaigns and good investing. They gained status as a respectable pureblood family, and had their prejudices to show for it. Thus, Lucius Malfoy had quite a bit to settle back on, not to mention his own success and lovely wife, Narcissa Black.

Things really couldn't have been any better when Draco came along. He was lavished on for being the only son, and grew up spoiled and under the impression that the world revolved around him. He had a few friends including two boys named Vincent Crabbe and Gregory Goyle who were more like a gang than friends. Only his father seemed to really expect something of him, and Draco was happy to try, even if he really didn't ever match up to what his father wanted. However, his mother seemed to think the world of him, and if all else failed, he knew that he could come running back to her.

School wasn't much of a worry for Draco. He had money, his father was Minister of Magic, and a good portion of the people he'd known nearly all his life also had power. Most of what he liked to do was pick on his peers and try to get himself at the top of the food chain. He thinks he's done it, too. He knew the type of kids he was supposed to pick on, he'd been taught that from the cradle, and if nothing else, these kids were going to know and fear Draco Malfoy. All was well for the most part. He had strong friends, a place on the Quidditch team, and was having a grand old time. What was going on around him hardly mattered. He even had a girlfriend! This didn't last long, though. At the end of fourth year, there were rumors of opposition to Voldemort. These rumors quickly became reality, and even if they're not considered a threat yet, Draco fears that, since he's almost old enough, he might have to become a Death Eater. Though he's sure it would make his family proud, he can't help but be afraid.
parents;; Lucius and Narcissa Malfoy
siblings;; None to speak of.

;; roleplaying

sample;;
The library was the kind of place you'd expect to find a Ravenclaw. That's where all the smart kids go and hang out. They don't say anything to each other, they just pour over gigantic textbooks like they have nothing better to do with their time. Of course, that would be a fair assumption if you liked going with the stereotypes.

However, the library was the place Rita Skeeter had to be right now. Or at least, she would have to be there if her partner ever showed up. It was a Saturday afternoon, so she had her doubts. After all, it would have been just like "any sane person" to sleep in and let the Ravenclaw do all the work. In fact, it was what Rita was currently considering doing, especially since she had nearly all of the books that she needed and could have humanly done all of the work without ever having to consult her partner. She wasn't about to fail this.

As the minutes ticked by, Rita kept looking at the door, waiting for her partner. The Charms teacher had a weird habit of putting people from different houses together, and it was really irritating. Besides the fact that there was no faster way to fall out with someone when you were sharing a grade, preconceived notions about other houses were practically standard learning at Hogwarts. Slytherins had questionable morals and were likely to slack off as much as they could, if not sabotage you the moment you turned your back. You were supposed to tolerate them, but be mindful of their ways.

So, Rita was in a rather tough, though not at all uncommon position. At least, that's how she would have thought of it if she were stupid. If there was one thing Rita was known for, it was bypassing everyone else's notions of how something was done (that would be the nice way of putting it). She'd have been one of the tough girls if she put her mind to it, and that was what you might pick her out as with her tall, shapely figure, short brown hair and terrifying smile. "Slytherin" struck less irritation in her than "she's late" did.

And according to the clock on the far wall, she was late. Well, she was precisely one minute late, and that wouldn't have meant much had Rita not been early. Not that it mattered much, anyway, but everything seemed more rushed when you knew what time it was. Doing work on Saturdays seemed to be a good way of making things seem like they were due the next day. Aside from the time, Rita had the odd suspicion that her partner wouldn't even come. After all, they'd only said a few words to each other, and Rita wasn't exactly someone who'd know about the personal habits of Bellatrix Black. She was from one of those inbred pureblood families, and according to the rumors, she was mad. Not that rumors meant much, even if you could have a field day making them.
